- Since optical density (OD) reflects the amount of bile acid in the filtrate (not adsorbed by meal particles) then 1-OD reflects the amount of bile acid adsorbed by meal particles. Calculate 1-OD for the standard meal with bile acid and the fiber-rich meal with bile acid in the first trial of the experiment. 1-OD will be calculated automatically for the other trials.
- Calculate the average OD and the average 1-OD for the standard meal with bile acid and the fiber-rich meal with bile acid in the first trial of the experiment.
